Coast to coast
"Do you fancy taking on a bit of a challenge?" my sister said nonchalantly. "I've always wanted to walk Hadrian's Wall", she continued, with an obvious invitation left hanging.
This is how I find myself in this precarious position, about a week away from walking 90 or so miles from coast to coast along the beautiful Hadrian's Wall trail. Now, the books all say that it's a moderate walk for those with reasonable fitness. Ha! That makes it a mountain to climb (figuratively) for me.
Several people have suggested we should raise money while we're at it. There are plenty of calls for charity doing the rounds, but if you would like to donate, we have a JustGiving site set up to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), which raises funds to speed up life-saving cancer research by taking developments in the lab and accelerating them into new tests and treatments for cancer patients who need them. The fight against cancer continues.
