Do you want to become a better leader in the fastest possible time?
Do you want to build a high performing team?
Do you want to reduce conflict and have better working relationships?
Coaching might be your answer!
From my experience coaching and developing managers as coaches for close to 20 years, I believe that developing the Coach Mindset is the best and fastest method to becoming a better leader.
7 Mindsets of a Coach
1) Relationships: Strive to build positive business relationships with your employees and others in your organisation.?
Provide value to them by serving them, being the consummate professional and standing for their success.
2) Outcomes: Focus on Results
Process is important but a coach helps others get out off the trees and see the forest.
3) Possibility:
When others are stuck, mired in complaints and negativity, you create a sense of possibility.
4) Commitment and Potential:
Think of yourself as your employees' commitment and potential.?
That's who you are.?
You are a "stake in the ground" for what your employees can be and do.
5) Equal Footing
You are on equal ground with your employees (no hierarchical power), no matter how powerful, or accomplished you may be.?
You should be open, honest, and authentic about your reactions to the employees' words and deeds.
6) Dialogue
Coaching is not about lecturing or just asking questions.?
It happens through a dialogue with your employees.
It is therefore essential to be sure that you have heard your employees, explored their issues, and tested your solutions with them.
7) Capacity
You are not working with your employees to just get it done.?
Rather, you want to help your employees improve their capabilities and performance over the long term.
If you adopt these Mindsets and execute on them you will definitely become a better leader.
