Discover how to calm and train the mind for mindfulness and mental well-being with the 'virtual mind.'

In our podcast episode Calm and Train the Mind with a Boost of Nature, Darren Robson interviews Dr. Ashleigh McLellan and Hilary McLellan to discuss training people's minds for mindfulness and well-being, whilst considering the impact of underlying trauma. Learn the importance of nature, the connection of human energy to nature, the benefits and strategies of mindfulness, and how mindfulness is fundamental for personal and mental growth.

This discussion is part of our Health and Wellbeing podcast series, where we learn about mental health, the importance of healthy daily habits, the power of positive psychology, practicing mindfulness, and applying neuroscience.

"I experienced trauma as a child and to cope I had to get outside in nature, and it was there I could access the kind of thinking that would help me.”

Hilary McLellan

Why and how to incorporate coaching outdoors in our work with clients

Join our next AC Coaching Conversation on Tuesday 24 January, when Clare Manning will interview Anna-Marie Watson live on LinkedIn. Anna-Marie encourages us to get closer to nature and incorporate coaching outdoors into our practice.

Numerous techniques can be integrated into coaching outdoors alongside existing coaching methodologies, theories and styles. The spectrum can range from unconsciously interweaving different approaches into the conversation to actively inviting nature to co-create the coaching process.

"We often forget that we are nature. Nature is not something separate from us. So, when we say that we have lost our connection to nature, we've lost our connection to ourselves."

Margaret Walsh Coaching in Nature, a subject that's close to your heart, mind & practice. In fact I seem to recall in a time pre covid we ran an Association for Coaching (AC) event at the stunning location of Madingley Hall & Gardens around this very subject. It was a session that stayed with me & others, thank you. I hope all is well :)
