Coaching Journey in short
Sharon Kern ( IPMA- SCP)

Coaching was something that I always wanted to develop as a skill not just for my career but overall as a person. Coaching is not easy as it’s said. Many get mislead with the word Coach. Coach is not a solution provider or someone who’s there to resolve your issues. Coaching is beyond a solution provider or mentoring session. The coaching process is forward looking. The coach partners with the client/coachee and enables their journey forward. The coach does not offer a solution, nor offer advice. In the entire conversation the coach stays non-judgmental and non-directional.
Beyond the theory and the concepts, the true learning and value of this journey has been in a deeper self-awareness and clarity of my journey forward. I have also gained a heightened ability for empathetic listening which is continuing to enrich my personal and professional life.?Coaching conversation is unique. As a coach I learnt how to listen more and speak less. Coaching helped me to enhance inner awareness and identify limiting beliefs/hidden resistance?within. These may be blocking our progress or holding us back from unlocking our true potential.
Coaching conversations are unique
Coaching session is one on one, and is confidential. A coach is bound by ethics and integrity agreements. A good coach is trained to be non-judgmental and non-directional. The coach is effective in being an active empathetic listening partner and holding up a mirror for the client's thoughts and reflections. In a coaching conversation the coach and client stay in present moment.
