Larger the global population becomes, more fragmented individuals seem to become. We are divided more than ever by age, gender, religion, race, wealth and multiple other divisions. Even an emotionally charged word like empathy has acquired dubious connotations of tribal affiliation.

Whether we believe in the Bible or Darwin, we evolved from very small numbers, a man and a woman. That is all it took to create the 6 plus billions today. We have almost moved from what Harari calls Homo Sapiens to Homo Deus, however with no indication that we have anything divine to show for it. We are even more inhuman than we first evolved.

Otto Scharmer talks about Presencing, the process of moving from a closed mind and heart of downloaded absencing state of mind to one of Open Mind Open Heart and Open Will. Ancient Hindu scriptures talk about seeing others in the Self and Self in others, the state of eco centricity Scharmer talks about. The Gita says that the difference between a demon and the divine is ego centricity and eco centricity.

What does it take to effect this Open Will shift?

Intolerance based on Xenophobia and several other divisive boundaries is a far bigger scourge than Ebola. Unlike in the case of Ebola, the cure for the mind is often more complex than the cure for the body. Coaching is about reframing. Coaches help others reframe long held limiting negative beliefs to create awareness of a new vision of infinite possibilities.
