Coaches: Stop Selling Hours. Start Selling a Legacy.

Coaches: Stop Selling Hours. Start Selling a Legacy.

61 years old. Decades of scars, wins, and stories. Here’s what I’ve learned—and how it can make you unforgettable.

You’re a coach. Maybe a headhunter. You’ve got expertise dripping from you, but here is the thing: your clients aren’t buying “sessions.” They’re buying a shift—a career leap, a confidence spike, a life unraveled.

Here’s the playbook I’ve honed over a lifetime of writing and building businesses. It’s how you can turn your ideas into LinkedIn posts and newsletters that don’t just get likes—they get you hired.

  1. You’re not a coach. You’re a guide. Clients don’t want “coaching.” They want the promotion they’ve been chasing or the clarity they’ve lost. Sell a transformation, not your time.
  2. Cut the fluff. Speak raw. “Mindset mastery” is old hat. Strip it down to “How to think like the top 1%.” Simple, human, done.
  3. Don’t preach. Invite. “You could unlock your next breakthrough” beats “You must hire me.” Craft words that pull prospects in—no pushy vibes.
  4. Pain beats promises. “Stuck losing deals because your pitch is weak?” hits harder than “I’ll make you better.” Pinpoint their bleed, then offer the fix.
  5. Numbers don’t lie. “80% of top execs lean on coaches” (thanks, Harvard) lands heavier than vague hype. Back your authority with cold, hard proof.
  6. One reader, one win. A CEO craves ROI. An athlete craves edge. Shape your voice to hit their nerve—no generic fluff.
  7. Inaction’s the real killer. “How many opportunities slipped by last year?” Weave that sting into your content. It’s subtle. It’s brutal. It works.
  8. Readable is shareable. Make it short. Punchy. Bold. Like this article. Make your posts impossible to scroll past.

I’m 61. I’ve lived the grind—built businesses, told stories, written until my fingers cramped. Now? I take your expertise and turn it into a personal brand that sticks. Newsletters that convert. Posts that work.

No gimmicks. No ads.
