A coach once told me I had a great conversation with a woman I adore. When I asked her if she knew anyone who could benefit from coaching, she said, “I keep telling you I need a life coach.” I don’t think it’s good for me to coach her, but she is a surgeon going into private practice, and she asked me to leave her my cards in case any of her patients want a coach. I said, “I don’t have cards. I coach by referral and invitation only. But I’ll give you my contact info again so that you have it.”

I responded: Seriously? She’s ASKING you to coach her. You don’t have to commit to a year of coaching—or even a month. Just get in a room with the woman and coach your ass off. Let her experience the magic of your coaching.

Best way to get clients? Have someone EXPERIENCE your coaching.
