?“Processors are well positioned not only to influence what happens on the farm, but also what consumers demand and prefer. We at PFS have the privilege of walking through 200 processing facilities each year, and we get to see the opportunities." This was one of the insights shared by our CEO Mandla Nkomo PFS' first side event at the Africa Food Systems Forum held in Kigali, Rwanda. The session was themed "Transforming African Food Processors for Climate and Growth."? Mandla and our East Africa Regional Director Johnson Kiragu facilitated an engaging and well attended discussion. We also had the managing director of Wedgehut, one of our Kenyan clients, and a representative of Sahel Capital, a food and agriculture private investment firm join the panel. It was an insightful session with lots of learnings on how stakeholders in the food value chain can come together to help African food processors adapt for our evolving climate.?
