?? In 2024, the VCM saw more integrity action, with The Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM) announcing their first CCP-Approved methodologies in June. Since then, ICVCM has approved multiple forest methodologies including REDD+ and ARR for the CCP label.
?? MSCI released their 2025 Sustainability and Climate Trends report, predicting a bullish return to the voluntary carbon market, seeing it expand from $1.5 billion in 2024 to between $7-$35 billion in 2030.
?? As mentioned last month, COP29 finalized the rules for emissions trading between countries under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.
