News from the Carbon Market

Last month we talked about the updates to Oxford's paper on Net Zero Aligned Offsetting. Since then, Oxford has published 5 common misconceptions about how to use Oxford Offsetting Principles to help organizations avoid common pitfalls in applying the Principles and establishing and maintaining a net zero aligned strategy.

Calyx Global recently published an overview on Landfill Gas Projects, outlining what they are, what their risk profiles are, and how they generally perform. Sustainability and climate efforts need to be focused on impact first, and while landfill gas projects don’t offer the same visually appealing photographs as other nature-based projects, they drive substantial impact.?

SBTi removed 239 companies from its net-zero commitment campaign. According to a survey by SBTi, 50% of the companies removed from the campaign cited scope 3 emissions as being a significant challenge to reaching their net-zero targets.?
