?? Scientists in Lincheng Town, Fujian Province, China, have unearthed large two-toed tracks belonging to deinonychosaurs, as announced on Monday. Over the years, researchers from the China University of Geosciences and Yingliang Stone Natural History Museum have discovered at least eight types of dinosaur tracks at the Longxiang track site. Among them, 12 didactyl deinonychosaur tracks have been identified, leading to the establishment of a new dinosaur species called Fujianipus yingliangi. These tracks, with an average length of 36.4 cm and width of 16.9 cm, indicate that Fujianipus was likely over 5 meters long and had a hip height of nearly 2 meters. The discovery significantly expands the size range of deinonychosaur tracks and is considered a significant finding in the study of Late Cretaceous dinosaurs in China. The research has been published in the international journal Science.

?? A Chinese research team has successfully realized the fractional quantum anomalous Hall state of photons using an independently developed quantum experimental system, according to the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). The team, led by Pan Jianwei and Lu Chaoyang, developed and named a new type of superconducting qubit, Plasmonium, in the research. This breakthrough in quantum simulation technology is expected to propel advancements in quantum physics research and quantum computing. The synthetic, controllable, and more powerful quantum simulation approach can be utilized to investigate further mysteries of quantum states and explore the realization of fault-tolerant universal quantum computation. The Hall effect, discovered by American scientist Edwin Hall in 1879, is a phenomenon where a voltage is generated perpendicular to the direction of both the current and the magnetic field when a current passes through a material placed in a magnetic field.

??Business China??

?? Shenzhen, a major tech hub in South China, has installed 362 supercharging facilities as of April 30, surpassing the number of petrol stations in the city. These superchargers, capable of charging an electric vehicle to 80%or more within 10 minutes, are expected to reach 1,000 by the end of the year.

Shenzhen initiated a project to build a "city of superchargers" in June 2023 to accommodate its growing fleet of new energy vehicles (NEVs), which surpassed 970,000 units by the end of 2023, constituting about 60%of the total vehicle count.

The majority of these new superchargers are located in existing public charging facilities, with installations in large business complexes, bus stations, and industrial parks. China's NEV ownership has been steadily increasing, reaching 20.41 million vehicles by the end of 2023. The country's NEV charging infrastructure expanded significantly in 2023, growing by 65% year-on-year to nearly 8.6 million facilities by the end of the year.
