The CMYK Awards

Nominated by peers, the CMYK Awards go to team members whose efforts and positive qualities deserve recognition. The winners included:

CYAN - BEING THE SOLUTION: Offer up new ideas, new practices or processes, new tools, or anew approach to an old idea. This person demonstrates their commitment to their work by being reliable as a source of information, by their timeliness each day, or their readiness to utilize their skills.

Winner: Daniel Griffin - Dan was recognized by Jody James for taking ownership of the warehouse. Dan organized and effectively communicated all the changes and locations of items to all employees and continues to ensure the warehouse is organized, accurately inventoried, and ready for new arrivals.

MAGENTA - QUALITY FOCUSED: The process, product, and packaging is ONLY of the highest quality – nothing less is acceptable.

Winner: Marvin Gilbert - Marvin was recognized by Daniel Griffin stepping up and covering the warehouse during Dan’s absence. Marvin had been tasked with moving 37 skids to the warehouse and went beyond expectations by not simply placing the skids on the open floor space, but by placing every skid in the rack slots, organized and properly distributed to allow for the efficient transfer to the trailers upon arrival for scheduled pickups.

YELLOW - TEAMWORK: Willingness to help others to do anything they’re asked to help with by anyone – they’re willing to go the extra mile. This person demonstrates their commitment to the team by putting others first or finding ways to help others.

Winner: David Vashaw - David was recognized by a former employee for going above and beyond by meeting with him at the customer's location, hand-delivering a large order, working in humid 90+ degree weather, and still maintaining excellent customer service with a smile and genuine personability despite the pressure in the situation. David's presentation made a positive and lasting impression on the customer.

KEY - ALL OF THE ABOVE: This person exemplifies traits from all the categories (Teamwork, Quality Focused, Being the Solution), and beyond.

Winner: Scott Swan - Scott was recognized by Elizabeth Chenard for all three categories. Scott has a passion for printing. He never stops seeking out new industry knowledge, often not through formal training, but on his own. This demonstrates his motivation to acquire all the skills and knowledge to become the best pressman he can be. Scott enthusiastically shares new information he's learned with anyone who stops by to "talk shop” and is wholly committed to the craft of printing.
