CMU Walls: Installation, Advantages & Disadvantages

What is CMU?

Concrete Masonry Unit (CMU) walls are standard size rectangular blocks used in building construction. CMU is the most adaptable building material available due to the broad variety of appearances that can be made with it; concrete masonry unit walls will help to reduce time waste.

These walls come in a variety of designs and textures, making them not only appealing for external and interior walls but also dependable for laying a sturdy foundation.

Cast concrete is used to make concrete bricks. Industrial waste, such as fly ash or bottom ash, could be used as an aggregate in low-density blocks.
