CMSUK 2024 Year in Review & A Look Ahead to 2025
2024 – A Year in Review
As 2024 draws to a close, we wanted to reflect on what has been a pivotal 12 months for CMSUK. Highlights of the year include running our most successful CMSUK awards ceremony yet, delivering almost 70 hours’ worth of educational content to our members, and hosting a superb corporate members day.
We now have a thriving follower base of over 3,000. LinkedIn has allowed us to promote our events, share insight, and keep up to date with the case management community.
2024 was an exceptional year for our events. Feedback from members who attended our events not only praised the quality of speakers at our event but also the engaging element of them, allowing attended to maximise the value of their places. In addition to this, we are proud to share that our slate of 2024 events was our best attended to date.
At CMSUK, we are passionate about supporting our members in any way we can. Through listening to what topics our members would like us to explore, we tailor our event plans to ensure we are meeting their educational needs. We also strive to ensure our events are unique, and throughout 2024, we received really positive feedback around this.
Over the course of 2024, some of the topics our events covered included:?
·???????? Supervision preferences
·???????? Orthotics
·???????? The transformation of technology in case management
·???????? The influence of artificial intelligence
·???????? Paediatric case management
·???????? The insurance perspective of case management
·???????? Complexities and challenges of managing a rental search
·???????? Family care payments
·???????? The Court of Protection and cases involving children
·???????? What is the difference between a deputyship and a personal injury trust?
·???????? Sex, disability and the law
·???????? Safeguarding adults and children
During the year, we hosted our events through a mixture of both in-person and online formats. By utilising this approach, it allowed us to deliver maximum value for our members, who, through their membership, receive discounted places and early access.
The Continued Success of Our Conference and Awards Ceremony
Alongside our well-received educational events, 2024 saw our best-performing flagship events in our history. The first of these two events was our conference, which saw delegates and 35 exhibitors from across the United Kingdom join us at St John's Hotel, Solihull, for two days filled with insight and connection.
The topic of the two-day conference was centred around the topics of the Courage of Curiosity, specifically exploring important topics like:
·???????? Accessible housing
·???????? Assistive Technology and Virtual Reality
·???????? Deputies & Case Managers
·???????? Improving rehabilitation outcomes
·???????? Sex, Disability & Embracing Risks
·???????? Suicide
领英推荐
·???????? The roles of the case management membership organisations (CMSUK, BABICM, IRCM and VRA)
·???????? Trauma therapy
·???????? Working with a Property & Finance Deputy
·???????? And much more.
Delegate feedback across the two days was outstanding, and it was incredible to see the response to our conference and the demand for next year. Due to increased demand for the 2025 edition, we have changed the layout of next year's conference to allow for more room for exhibitors.
Following on from our successful conference, attention of the case management sector turned to the highly anticipated CMSUK awards. On September 13th, nominees joined us at London’s Tower Bridge to celebrate the excellence within our industry. The categories and winners for this year included:

This year's events were truly special, and it was fantastic to see so many individuals in the same room passionate about case management and driving the very best standards. At CMSUK, we thoroughly enjoy running our awards ceremony as we see firsthand how much case management means to those in attendance.
Due to the popularity of this year’s event, we are delighted to be moving to a larger venue space to accommodate for such demand. Our new venue for 2025 will be, Royal Garden Hotel, 2- 24 Kensington High Street London W8 4PT.
You will be able to book your place for the 2025 Awards from mid February 2025.
Organisational Development in 2024
Alongside delivering our high-quality events and webinars, we also saw some organisational development at CMSUK. We welcomed four new colleagues to our Board of Directors. This included Stephanie Fleet (Head of Communications), Joanna Fletcher-Smith (Head of Research), Angela Wicks (Head of Governance), and Rhiannon Stokes (Head of Membership Committee).
As we are passionate about the development of CMSUK and case management, we invited our corporate members to join us in Shoosmiths office located in Birmingham. The day was centred around learning what our corporate members value about us and how we can best serve them.
This provided a fantastic opportunity to learn more about how our corporate offering is perceived and where we can improve it. It was also refreshing to hear first-hand what our members enjoyed about their membership and how they think we support the case management sector. The feedback following the event from those who attended was incredibly positive, and we look forward to running similar events for other members in the future.
As the year came to a close, we embarked on an exciting partnership with Case Management Magazine. Through this partnership, we will be working collaboratively to support the case management sector through sharing important updates, highlighting services that CMSUK offers, and useful courses and events that we are running.?
The past 12 months have been really exciting, and we can’t wait to see what the new year is going to bring. As we look to the new year, we are excited to continue to support members through a range of valuable resources.
