The Center for Maritime Strategy would like to acknowledge the late great Honorable Carole L. Brookins, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of The First Alliance (TFA) Foundation for their generous grant to the Center for Maritime Strategy. ?
Ms. Brookins, who was tragically taken from us due to complications from COVID in 2019, founded TFA in 2018 to celebrate the long-standing relationship between the Republic of France and the United States of America.? Ms. Brookins stated that "The First Alliance Foundation's logo symbolizes the historic military relationship between America and France that led to the birth of an independent United States of America in 1776. It also signifies the essential French-American military alliance in WW I, WW II and other wars where we have stood united. TFA’s mission is two-fold: first, to honor our historic and enduring military alliance; and second, to further strengthen the bonds of support and camaraderie between future strategic decision makers from both nations.”
The Center for Maritime Strategy is honored to carry forth Carole’s legacy in maintaining a strong and positive relationship with our Francophone Allies, who most recently transferred authority of their nuclear powered aircraft carrier, FS Charles DeGaulle to the NATO alliance as the USS Eisenhower Strike Group departed the European theater for home after an arduous 9-month deployment.? Vive First Alliance!
