We're proud to be working exclusively again with L+R Hotels, looking for a Cluster Director of Revenue to join their dynamic commercial team based in London.

This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced Senior Multi-Property Revenue Manager or Group Revenue Manager looking for their next step up into a Cluster Director role within a well-established market leader.

The ideal candidate will have some management experience of a small team of Revenue Managers and have strong system knowledge including the use of Ideas G3, Siteminder, Opera V5, Synxis, EZ RMS, Basecamp and Excellent Excel skills.

This role will be responsible for leading the team in planning and implementing strategic policies and procedures to ensure the maximum revenue is achieved across all segments and revenue streams including accommodation, M&E and F&B. This will be achieved through market intelligence, commercial analysis, decision support, pricing implementation and inventory management in rooms, M&E and F&B. The role will also be responsible for controlling all aspects of channel management and control GDS systems. To ensure that daily pricing of rooms is relevant to Compset and that hotel is achieving it’s RGI as per targets set in KPI’s.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee performance and efficiency of all the top line Revenue, ensuring all revenue lines are being optimized and the hotel sales strategies are being executed
  • Work closely with the Sales / Marketing / Reservation departments on a daily basis to ensure every room is maximized and strategies are aligned
  • To ensure that both Hotels in the Cluster are managed effectively to achieve goals and targets set for both hotels
  • To ensure accurate forecasting monthly within +/-3% of actual
  • Identify areas of opportunity within pricing and inventory management that subsequently add top-line value to the hotels’ total revenue performance
  • To support the completion of a detailed annual budget of all Revenue segments. These areas include Rooms, Food, Beverage, Room Hire and other Sales
  • To utilize relevant Revenue systems to analyse an ever-changing market and business, ensuring yield and other department revenue/sales are maximised at all times
  • Be responsible for the accuracy & integrity of all commercial forecasting, reporting, analysis, and evaluation of hotel performance in all Commercial KPIs
  • To work with the Director of Sales, promoting regular positive dialogue and support, ensuring the proactive Sales Team continue to follow the hotel strategies implemented
  • To work with the Director of Marketing, promoting regular positive dialog and support, ensuring all distribution and awareness follows the hotel strategies implemented
  • Together with the Director of Sales, assist with planning account re-negotiation through a total revenue or ‘spend by account’ approach
  • Develop and refine robust measurement tools and mechanisms that will support the hotel in analyzing and reporting of data. Furthermore, use this technology to support the business case when a change in strategy is required
  • Identify areas of risk & opportunity and act upon them in a timely manner
  • To illustrate success through growing hotel market share - in both RevPAR and TrevPAR
  • Ensure the seamless reporting of targeted and well-timed information, illustrating where sales and marketing efforts are required
  • Implement a thorough day by day, by market segment, rooms forecasting process to support strategic direction and reporting of forward-looking business
  • To be up to date on the competition and address both proactive and reactive influences to yield management strategies – by day of week, month and/or season
  • To complete daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual system checks and ensure rate parity across all channels is maintained
  • To attend weekly Revenue meetings to ensure BoB conversion is maximized and the reactive and proactive sales team are focusing on the relevant business needs
  • To build relationships with key 3rd Party Agents and leveraging this rapport as appropriate across all income generating departments, ensuring the hotels visibility online is maximized. These include OTA’s and Wholesale accounts
  • To have competitor hotel knowledge and have a very strong understanding of what is happening in the market at all times
  • Take an active interest in optimizing revenue KPI’s such as M&E enquiry conversion and Premium Rooms Efficiency - setting targets with the relevant HODs to ensure overall performance is enhanced through team performance
  • Be well-versed in evolving technology and customer behavior, particularly in the e-world of e-Commerce and Social Media
  • Implement and be the custodian of hotel SOPs in relation to all areas of commercial performance and outputs across the business
  • Demonstrate positive leadership to inspire the team to meet targets and exceed customer expectations
  • Provide guidance and coaching to develop and enhance the skills of the team
