“You provided bread from heaven for them for their hunger, You brought forth water from a rock for them for their thirst, And You told them to enter in order to possess The land which You swore to give them.”
I think a lot of times we have issues with relying on self effort when God wants to move. God has already given us the instructions for our success. Through out my life I have doubted my self and God far to much. I’ve done that by not asking for help because I expect to be denied, or not dropping an album because I’m comparing myself to others, and being silent about my pain. When I look at the scripture above it really get’s me thinking… If my main focus is how to create my bread and water I end up being a workaholic that ignores the time God wants to have with me. God provides for us because he wants us to realize our work is void without his grace and mercy , and also at the end of the day He is our provider and source. The Israelites in the wilderness were able to have a crash course on full reliance in God. What if we challenge ourselves to fully rely on God for at least one week? I don’t mean you going and moving to the woods and look for a broadcast of cloudy with a chance of Wonderbead, but what I’m talking about is with every move we make submitting to God our will and adopting His will instead. Imagine how God will defy your human limitations and provide for your where you saw no chance, like bread out of heaven … or water out of stone. So go out there, allow God to provide for you and take that promise land he’s spoken to you about long ago.
