In the Clouds: Vol. 9 Empathy
It’s often times we focus on the view to which we see things. This is our perspective of the world around us, our interpretation of situation, circumstance or environment from our own eyes. The simple fact that our perspective is limited to our point of view and our sensory inputs is the reason we all have to be more intentional about being empathetic.
Too often in life, business, relationships and general interactions we react in response to situations around us. Learning and remembering to be empathetic is one of the most valuable skills and characteristics one can possess. It is not always easy to take a step back and look at things from a different perspective, however in most situations that macro outcome of doing this, plays in the favor of all involved.
In order to truly help others, it is critical that we take the time to see their perspective, take time to understand how they are thinking about a situation and put an arm around them to realize how a situation may be impacting them.
This is true in Sales.
This is true in Networking.
This is true in Leadership.
This is true in Teams.
This is true….. in LIFE.
Remember to take the time to be empathetic.
