Cloud is reality

Somebody recently asked me whether customers are really using cloud especially around Information integration space. It reminded me my presentation which I delivered in the IBM Word of Watson. This one slide talks about it all.

Customers are primarily using the cloud solutions for the following use cases:

1.    They want to extend their current ETL workload to Cloud. That gives them more flexibility and agility with their changing business needs.

2.    Even if they have reservations about cloud, cloud offerings are still useful. While customers are in process of getting corporate approval to move their workload to cloud, they are still using Cloud for quickly creating development and test environment.

3.    They want to get rid off their legacy system and want to rapidly start new projects.

Cloud is reality. It’s future. Adopt cloud. Keep up the pace.
