I’m still coming down from an incredible high having spent last weekend speaking and styling at The Good Clothes Show. It was the most incredible experience. Being able to share my sustainable style, colour and confidence expertise on stage and in the ReStyle Lounge was amazing.?
I have had feedback from so many women that they really resonated with my journey and tips on body confidence and embracing ourselves exactly as we are. Which makes me so happy! It’s such an important part of the sustainable style journey.?
I loved working with my amazing clients on their colour experiences in the ReStyle Lounge, they all left feeling super confident with colour and empowered to make the right choices for them.?(you can book in for your own Colour Analysis session HERE, I've had quite a few bought as gift vouchers recently too, also available online)
One of the highlights of the show for me was the sustainable fashion community coming together and sharing the experience.?It was amazing to meet Clare Press (pictured above), Patrick Duffy, Zoe Sussmeyer, Carry Somers and Lauren Bravo, plus many more incredible people who I have followed for some time online and who have really inspired my journey.?I'd recommending following all of these amazing people.
Here’s to many more of these inspiring shows moving forward, to change the future of the fashion industry and consumption for good!?
Would you come along next time? Let me know!
P.s my whole outfit here is Preloved! Jacket RGP hospice charity shop, t -shirt from preloved pop up locally, denim skirt and trainers Vinted! I loved it when I realised this! Wearing your values feels really good.
Sunday Sustainable Fashion Pick
Another big benefit of being at The Good Clothes Show was getting to meet so many incredible preloved sellers and sustainable fashion brands, who I'd previously only connected with online. ?

This coat was my one purchase of the weekend, from a vintage seller I hadn't come across before FGH Vintage, you can find her here on instagram. Fiona had an incredible selection of coats, handbags and jewellery, really unique pieces with great attention to detail. She also had a similar version of this coat in black with zebra trims, but I couldn't walk away from my signature leopard print and red! You can shop online here.
I also loved chatting with and borrowing items for my clients from Valerie at Damson Preloved. We collaborated online last year on my Emily in Paris Style Challenge and have been following each other for a few years on instagram, so it was so nice to meet in person. She always has gorgeous bright colourful pieces and lots of choice in sizing in her collections too.
If you'd like to take advantage of my knowledge and expertise on preloved and sustainable fashion brands, trends and style, why not book in for a Personal Shopping session online or in person? Saving you time and money and find the perfect pieces to elevate your style for every occasion. Find out more HERE...
Things I Enjoyed This Week...
I was shocked to read this week in Hello! Magazine that it's been 30 years since Friends first aired on our TV screens! I was 38 this week, and so it makes sense (being the youngest of 3 girls!), but still! Friends has been a big part of my life, I even watched it when I was in labour with my daughter, it's my go to if I need cheering up or am at a loss on what to watch!?Are you a fan?
This article showcases their 30 favourite outifts from the show. There's so many of these 90's inspired trends that are having a comeback now such as waistcoats, double denim, statement coats and 80s inspired suits. As mentioned in the article, it is harder to watch now with a diversity and inclusivity lens, especially with the fat shaming of Monica, but I also see this as a positive in terms of how our mindset has shifted and the fact we grew up in an age where this was the norm, where now it is not accepted.
There is still a lot of work to do on this topic, and generations of women who have been impacted by these beauty ideals and standards set by these kind of shows. But I will always hold Friends in my heart with a lot of fond nostalgia! How about you? Hit reply to let me know!
If you're enjoying these emails, I'd love you to share them with your friends and family, if they sign up on the link HERE they'll also get my FREE guide to colour confidence & skin undertones

5 个月Great post! Love the sustainable fashion focus and F.R.I.E.N.D.S nostalgia. Will definitely check out your recommendations. Enjoy your cuppa!
Loved reading all about your experience at The Good clothes show. What really stands out is how we make online relationships that are then solidified when we get to meet in person. Goodness me Friends @30!! I was already a business owner and married when Friends started so it wasn’t quite relevant to my life. I did dip in now and again, finding it easier than I thought to relate. Pheobe was always my favourite! Then of course the classic ‘we were on a break!’ One day I’ll catch up with it from the beginning!
You are the person I follow not only for sustainable fashion but for feeling good in my clothes, Alex????
Me too, loved Rachel’s haircut and wanted the same style when I was younger! Can’t believe it’s been 30 years.
