Cloud Network Engineer - CONTRACT

V-Soft Consulting is currently seeking?Cloud Network Manager?client in?Chicago, Illinois.?This is a?contract?position.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Technical Requirements and Certifications ?

• At least one advanced certification on network connectivity devices. Example certifications are Cisco CCNP, Cisco CCSP, Citrix CCIA, CompTIA Linux + (or similar)

?

Education and Experience ?

• Experience working with ServiceNow is preferred
• 15 years of prior experience in a network engineering/architecture environment with a strong background designing cloud solutions
• Experience working within Ansible and Check Point firewalls
• Hands-on deployment/implementation experience in building AWS or Azure or GCP cloud foundations to support production-scale workloads
• Working knowledge and experience with IaaS and PaaS
• Working knowledge of a breadth of Cloud Infrastructure technologies (server, storage, clustering, etc.) with a preference for security skills (knowledge of Panorama, Palo Alto, cloud-based Load Balancer solutions, monitoring tools, etc.)

• Superior communication skills (both written and verbal) regardless of audience
• Self-motivated, eager to learn new things, and adaptable to change; able to work productively in a team setting
• Comfortable with enterprise change control methodology

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Job Responsibilities:

• Handling the network design, planning, management, maintenance, and support of cloud-based software systems
• A range of troubleshooting responsibilities including error debugging, root cause analysis, and the handling of service requests
• Responsible for maintaining network infrastructure components such as servers, network devices, and storage devices as directed by the designated Program Manager.
• Respond to network alarms and outages, dispatch to remote sites for troubleshooting and repairs as well as document network infrastructure, update, and close trouble tickets, and document the root cause of network issues.
• Report to the Project Manager and team lead and will work closely with other members of the technology department to support all technology at client’s sites.
