V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a?Cloud Engineer?for our premier client in?Louisville, Kentucky.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Technical Requirements and Certifications ?AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
• ITIL or Six Sigma certified.
• Current AWS associate, professional and/or specialty certifications.

• Education and Experience ?4-year degree in IT/IS or other closely related disciplines; may consider experience and certifications for degree requirement.
• 3+ years of experience designing and building web environments on AWS, which includes working with services like EC2, ELB, RDS and S3.
• 3+ years of experience in Linux/Unix and Windows server system administration.
• 3+ years of experience with hypervisors such as VMware, Citrix Xen, or OpenStack.
• 3+ years of experience using DevOps tools in a cloud environment, such as Ansible, Artifactory, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, or Kubernetes.
• 3+ years of experience with build and deploy practices.

• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities ?Ability to work certain night/weekend shifts on an as-needed basis for major infrastructure changes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Job Responsibilities:Plan, implement and grow the AWS cloud infrastructure and cloud architecture.
• Build, release and manage the configuration of all production systems.
• Gather and maintain data for capacity planning and performance analysis of cloud infrastructure.
• Align cloud security to enterprise best practices.
• Evaluate solutions that align with tactical and strategic company initiatives.
• Manage a continuous integration and deployment methodology for cloud infrastructure and services.
• Recommend process and architecture improvements.
• Resolve and manage incidents for infrastructure and services to align with departmental or business SLAs.
• Participate in on-call rotation for incident management and escalation.
• Work alongside architecture and engineering teams to design and implement scalable infrastructure and services.
• Work appropriate level requests from the ticket queue.
• Work with vendors to resolve hardware and software issues.
• Stay current on emerging technologies and products, including attaining certifications and participation in industry events, as appropriate.
