Last week, Broadcom halted the resale of VMware Cloud (VMC) by AWS, a decision that has stirred concern among VMC customers and the broader cloud computing community. Here’s why this could be a setback for VMC customers:

Increased financial risk: VMC customers who purchased through AWS will now need to purchase through Broadcom, which for many customers comes exactly at a time when they are looking to decrease their dependency on Broadcom.
