In response to the UK's pressing skills gap and the government's ambitious employment reforms, National Employer Training (NET) in Grimsby is leading the way in empowering young individuals aged 19 to 24.
Through the NET Youth programme, participants gain essential industry qualifications, build confidence, and prepare for the professional world - all in just two to three weeks!
Addressing the skills crisis
The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) has identified significant skills shortages across Greater Lincolnshire and Rutland, particularly in work readiness and digital capabilities. To tackle this, the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) highlights the need for tailored training that aligns with employer demands, a mission NET fully supports.
NET works with Jobcentre Plus, Young People’s Support Services, and local employers to create clear pathways into employment, apprenticeships, and further education, ensuring young people develop the skills businesses need most.
