Closing the Global Leadership Gap: An Interview with Michelle Redfern, Gender Equality Advisor

How can we accept the status quo when it will take over a century to achieve gender parity in leadership roles?

Alarmingly, the World Economic Forum's Global Gender Gap Report 2023 estimates it will take 132 years to achieve full gender parity at the current rate of progress.

Despite significant strides toward gender equality, the gender gap in leadership remains a critical issue: as women hold only 29% of senior management roles globally.

The slow pace of change calls for renewed focus and innovative strategies, making the work of advocates like Michelle Redfern more crucial than ever before.

I had the pleasure of speaking with Michelle on The Uncharted Leader podcast , about her unwavering commitment to create a level playing field for women and girls.

Her mission is deeply personal. Having navigated the complexities of balancing work and family responsibilities, Michelle's experience fuelled a determination to advocate for systemic change and assist women to overcoming obstacles within corporate structures.
