University of Illinois Chicago?Engineering Career Center's "First-Timer" tour is a great experiential approach that connects first-generation and other student who are new to career fairs with hiring companies.
Question for students: Does your university make it easy to find great internship opportunities? What else could they do?

Disclaimer: I'm the co-founder and board chair at Driving Forward, a 501(c)3 non-profit founded in 2020 with the mission of helping students with the transition from college to meaningful career. We accept all students, but focus on first-generation and under-resourced college students who can benefit most from our mentorship, networking and professional development programs. We are fortunate to have had many UIC students along with students from over 100 other universities across the country as part of our Flagship Program. However we are not affiliated with any specific university. See more at?https://lnkd.in/g2EaA-Yf
