Closing Cycles: Releasing Old Patterns & Inviting Growth

Closing Cycles: Releasing Old Patterns & Inviting Growth

Happy Friday My Friend,

I hope you’re taking time to nurture your inner wellness during this season of life. Over the past week, a recurring theme has emerged in client conversations: the importance of doing the inner work, especially in those moments when it feels easier to avoid it. You know the moments- those that are hard to face, the ones that stir something deep within.

While I encourage healing, it’s essential to approach it at your own pace, honoring what feels safe and manageable for you. As someone who has navigated several traumatic experiences in my own life, I deeply understand the courage it takes to face these moments. That’s why I always recommend seeking supported guidance, particularly when diving into the more tender or challenging parts of your journey.

This time of year seems to heighten and bring forward subconscious imprints- energies and patterns deeply embedded within us from past experiences. Often, these surface quietly, shaping how we feel and react, without us even realizing it.? For example, you might find yourself upset over something seemingly small, yet the depth of your reaction suggests there’s more beneath the surface.?

These responses are often tied to the unseen layers of energy and memories stored deep within, waiting for acknowledgment and healing. When we commit to actively working on ourselves, it becomes easier to pause and reflect when these patterns surface. While the work itself is rarely easy, being connected to our higher self allows us to stay open to the messages filtering through.

These messages often show up as resistance, manifesting as anxiety, anger, fear, or worry. Physically, your body may sound the alarm, signaling your attention. This may look like- tension in your chest or shoulders whenever you think about a particular situation- perhaps a strained relationship or unresolved conflict.

From an energy standpoint, this tension could reflect emotions stored in the heart chakra, such as grief, resentment, or a need for forgiveness. The shoulders, often symbolic of carrying burdens, might signal the weight of responsibilities or expectations you’ve been holding onto.

“Candice has a very grounding and calming presence. She took the time to understand my intention for the session and I felt very relaxed and calm when we were done. Thank you!” - Jeanne

When you make time to sit with these sensations- through meditation, energy healing, and breathwork - you may feel an intuitive nudge to explore specific memories or feelings. That nudge could lead you to recognize unresolved pain or energy that’s asking for release. These physical sensations are not random discomforts; they are doorways, guiding you to the next layer of healing.

It’s also natural to feel like you’re in a good place, only to have something unexpected rise to the surface. This, too, is a gift from your higher self- a gentle acknowledgment of the progress you’ve made - an invitation to ascend to the next level of your journey. There is a misconception that revisiting difficult moments will pull us down energetically. While it’s true that we may initially feel the weight of those experiences again, it’s through the process of fully embracing and embodying our emotions, our feelings, our memories- this act of true acknowledgment- that healing begins to integrate deeply within us.

If you’ve been feeling this way lately, know that you are not alone. Over the past weeks, I’ve had at least ten conversations centered around this very aspect of healing. The energy of this time of year invites reflection and renewal as we approach the next chapter.

Ask yourself: Do you really want to carry this into 2025? What will make this year different? How can you begin supporting your energy now to create the shift you desire??

Until next week, I hope you have a beautiful day.

Candice

"it’s through the process of fully embracing and embodying our emotions, our feelings, our memories- this act of true acknowledgment- that healing begins to integrate deeply within us." This statement has embodied my journey over the past several years, as I have dealt with past trauma, personal failures and mistakes, as well as self-perceived failures. It wasn't until I began to truly acknowledge the particular issue that I began to heal and move forward. I also second the recommendation of working with someone as you work through this journey. So well said, Candice. I love what you said about revisiting difficult moments and not letting that change the trajectory of the forward momentum. Sometimes my client say why is this still coming up for me? I’ve worked on this, I’ve processed, I’ve done the trauma work. I often remind them that those thoughts will never fully just disappear like Men in Black flashing the light at us. But instead, we will be more emotionally, mentally, and physically resilient in order to approach these thoughts without judgment, and with understanding of where they come from, as well as how we can best counteract them with positive and true thought processes that move us towards growth.
