Closing the Achievement Gap

Summer is upon us and we are gearing up to help teens stay engaged in learning throughout South Dallas County, TX. We are asking influential leaders like yourself, to share their story with our teens in the Y Achievers Academy. Will you be willing to speak to our teens? 

Y-Achievers Academy is an eight-week, full-day educational enrichment and leadership development summer learning program targeted towards teens in 6th – 10th grade with a broad range of academic abilities. The program blends high-quality academics centered on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) with arts, wellness, leadership activities, and cultural enrichment. All students will have the opportunity to learn water safety and how to swim which helps make enormous gains in self-confidence that spill over into the classroom. We use a hands-on interactive approach to help instill a love of learning to help close the achievement gap that is evident in low-income communities.
