It won’t be long before spring is here, and with that comes Open House season, when our distributors hold local events to showcase the latest Okuma machine tools, metal cutting technologies, and system solutions available through Okuma Partners in Technology. This spring Okuma America is also running a seasonal campaign with the theme “Closer Than You Think.”

Many New Machine Tools in Your Area

Closer Than You Think refers to Okuma’s unique offering in the Americas where machines and resources are at distributor locations that are geographically accessible for our customers. Recently we’ve made a substantial investment in commissioning many new machine tools at our distributor locations, where they’re on display and running in showrooms. This allows customers to come in and take a closer look, ask detailed questions, collaborate with experts and technology partners, do test cuts, and just generally talk shop with local resources.

Closer to Your Budget

In my many years in this business I’ve seen that some shops are under the impression that Okuma is outside the range of what their budget will allow. I think this is the natural assumption people make when they see quality and craftsmanship on display. However, I caution you not to hold onto this assumption, because many folks are surprised at how reasonable it can be to bring an Okuma into their shop. The bottom line is, our pricing is often closer to your budget than you may think.

Closer to Your Local Distributor

Now is also a good time for you to become closer to your local distributor. Go visit them and get to know them. Build a relationship and expand your network of resources. I think you’ll be surprised at how much they can do for you.

As we enter the season of trade shows, lunch and learns, demo days, open houses, tech center showcases, and more, I encourage you to take a look at these offerings and see what you can attend.
