Closed-form solution for mode superposition analysis of continuous beams on flexible supports under moving harmonic loads

Despite the computational power we didn′t have an analytical?general framework for the moving harmonic load problem. Proudly we present, representing The Royal Institute of Technology the general closed-form solution of the moving load problem of continuous systems on flexible supports!

In this work, we solved the problem of the moving harmonic load problem applicable to footbridge and railway bridge dynamics any continuous beam system with any configuration of flexible supports! Three bridges were solved and our solution was compared with FEA. Not only we converged immediately we proved to be faster than FEA and since this is an analytical solution of the equation of motion for the general problem are now the benchmark!
