I think you'll find value in the wise words of my former guest, Scott Savage: "It doesn't matter how different we think we are, it matters if our prospect believes they will be different and better after working with us."
There is so much truth to this! As sellers, spend time focusing your differentiation efforts on things that bring actual value to prospects. Here's an excellent way to do this that may surprise you: ask more effective questions. Scott also mentioned his experience with executives, stating that they judge us by our questions, not our answers.
People make decisions based on differences, not similarities.?Don't be the?similar seller?who puts the focus on themselves and their offers. Be the?different seller?who spends most of their time asking effective questions and learning through listening.
I share this with you because I want you to position yourself to close more deals. And of course, so you can go out and do big things!
