Close Eyes...
Welcome back (or if this is your first time, Welcome!).
Last week we had our bonus day for the year.
What did you DO with it?
Need some ideas? Take a quick look at some recommendations I made to Create Time (and see the comments // make more!).
Today, let's think about an easy concept (??) of doing less to become even more productive right now.
Close your eyes for a moment.
I'll wait until you come back and open them again :-).
The Problem:?I Just Go Go Go
This week, imagine you and I are walking somewhere out in nature.
You decide where. Remember, it's your imagination.
ME: "Hey, how are you?"
YOU: "I just go go go...."
Close your eyes.
Imagine where we are walking right now out in nature.
What does it look like?
What does it feel like?
What does it smell like?
What else do you notice?
The Actionable Tip: Close Eyes
Close your eyes.
Imagine.
Pause.
In the comments below, please share?ONE?actionable tip about how you "close eyes" in order to do less and become more productive.
This should be a fun exercise today.
Oh. Make sure you open your eyes before commenting or continuing to scroll to the next thing in your social stream of unending whatever-ness...
Thank you.

1 年My actionable tip on this topic is that I keep the Buddhist concept of ichinen sanzen (3,000 realms in a single moment of life) in mind often throughout the day.?Along with simple breathing techniques, closing my eyes for even a few seconds allows me to see more clearly and appreciate the value of every moment - be it professional or personal.

1 年The weekly newsletter seems like a great way to inject a bit of humor and perspective into the routine of the workweek. The suggestion to "close your eyes" is a simple yet intriguing concept – a reminder to take a moment, reflect, and perhaps gain a new perspective on tasks or challenges.

1 年We have a Kanban board that we have posted near our kitchen. Every morning after breakfast we take a peek and see what the priority should be for the day. We also turn off notifications if necessary to help eliminate interruptions and multitasking. Sometimes we echo your slogan to ourselves " Focus -> Deliver!" ??
