There’s no turning back now… robots are evolving at lightning speed.
Clone has just unveiled "Torso," a bimanual android that takes us another step closer to human-like machines. And yes, it does look like it could have stepped straight out of Terminator—perfect timing for Halloween!
But in all seriousness, Clone’s Torso android is an incredible engineering achievement. It replicates human shoulders, neck, and arms with amazing accuracy, powered by artificial muscles.
Thanks to a sophisticated joint system, including the sternoclavicular, acromioclavicular, and glenohumeral joints (all the key parts that give us shoulder mobility), it boasts a full range of lifelike movements.
And the best part? The control system for these movements is cleverly housed inside the ribcage, just like a real human torso!
So, why should we be excited instead of alarmed?
This tech isn’t just about building robots to take over factory jobs or automate tasks. Clone has bigger plans, like applying these innovations to prosthetics and rehabilitation—which is truly exciting!
