Clocking Up The Miles

Clocking Up The Miles

Dear Hydrogen Movers,

This week is all about motion! And what better word to sum up the IAA TRANSPORTATION trade show taking place right now in Hannover, Germany. Among the exhibitors you’ll find several well-known manufacturers who are presenting their H2 and fuel cell innovations. At least two manufacturers are launching their new FC generations! I’ll be reporting back.

Meanwhile the German Association of the Automotive Industry ( Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA) e.V. ) has put H2 firmly on the agenda, something that VDA President Hildegard Müller confirmed to me personally last week. When you receive this newsletter, I’ll be at the President’s reception. I’m delighted the trade fair is covering the entire ecosystem and that IAA vehicles are also getting their infrastructure partners. Regardless of whether it’s electricity or Hydrogen – things will only work out if we’re in this together.

Togetherness is also the watchword of the German Hydrogen Association ( Deutscher Wasserstoff-Verband (DWV) e.V. ) – which will be ready to greet you at booth C45 in hall 24. We’re inviting you to attend a reception on Wednesday at 16:00 CEST when you can hear all about the benefits of becoming a member. We have a lot to offer; and feel free to mention my name as a reference!

Our innovative partner Argo-Anleg GmbH will also be at the IAA on Thursday, September 19, and Dirk Fischer is looking forward to having some interesting discussions with you. You can contact Mr. Fischer on +49 160 96298997 or at [email protected]. You’ll likewise receive a warm welcome from Argo-Anleg’s customers: Paul Group (Open-Air Section | K66), Volvo Financial Services & Volvo Penta (hall 21 | B01), Volvo Trucks (hall 11 | C24, C25, C30, C31, C32, TD01 & Open-Air Section B67)

Continuing the Hydrogen supply theme, on September 25 at 16:00 CEST we’ll be talking about Hydrogen prices! In an English webinar hosted by the Hyvolution Paris Hub, I’ll be chatting to a number of guests, including Marie Espitalier-No?l from Hydrogen Europe , about the European “auction as a service” scheme. This allows EU member states to award additional national budget resources to support projects while relying on the Hydrogen auction mechanism of the European Commission’s Innovation Fund. We’ll also be referring to other examples, among them Germany ( H2Global Stiftung ), the Netherlands and Japan.
