While employers can't control these external challenges, they can address issues like poor communication, lack of development, and unclear expectations. A rising tide may lift all boats, but a strong economy can also mask weaknesses in talent management. The Employability Paradox demonstrates that while promotions improve an employee's market value, they also amplify feelings of job security and organizational support, particularly during downturns. A new McKinsey study shows the debate over remote vs. in-office work misses the point: it's not where people work, but how they work that matters. While companies like Amazon and JP Morgan Chase mandate office returns, new research reveals a disconnect between leaders' optimism and employees' reality. Leaders believe their organizations support collaboration, innovation, mentorship, connectivity, and skill development—the reasons for RTO mandates. Yet, employee data shows low organizational maturity in these areas, regardless of the work model. To close the gap, organizations must move from policy mandates to creating a work environment that supports these core practices.?

?? GLP-1 access is the next big thing in employee benefits?

31% of employees would switch jobs for access to GLP-1 weight loss medications like Ozempic and Wegovy, making them a top job perk alongside healthcare, flexible hours, and equity. While employer coverage has more than doubled to 63%, 25% of employees still can’t access these medications through their jobs. Whether or not employers choose to offer this benefit, medication alone isn’t enough: declining exercise rates among users underscore the need for comprehensive weight health solutions that combine medication with lifestyle changes, ensuring a return on investment.?
