If it has died you have to plug it, if you see a text you might get distracted reading the text, a social media post could steal your time. A clock does not have these distractions
3 Sometimes you have to get up and go somewhere else to look at the time. This wastes time and you might bump into someone and start talking. Having a clock prevents you from getting up
4 The constant tick tock sound is a reminder that once a second goes by we can never get it back. You become more mindful of time.
