Clinton D’Souza joins as new F&B Manager at the St. Regis Downtown Dubai

Clinton D’Souza has been appointed as the new F&B Manager for The St. Regis Downtown Dubai, joining in the team this April 2022. With a background of over thirteen years in hospitality, Clinton found his passion in Food & Beverage, initially in his hometown in Mumbai and later on in Dubai. He has joined The St. Regis Downtown team, taking on an exciting new role leading four impeccable F&B outlets with a key focus on product and service innovation, stemming from his background in luxury hospitality.

Born and raised in India, Clinton began his professional journey by completing a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management in Goa, followed by a study of wines, with a focus on style and quality. In 2009, Clinton joined the luxury Four Seasons Hotel in Mumbai where his first hospitality experience began as a Server. After 5 years, Clinton was promoted to an In-Room Dining Supervisor and later transferred to the Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach in 2014. He joined as Food and Beverage Supervisor and was promoted two years later to the Assistant In-Room Dining Manager.

Clinton proved his passion and dedication to work, growing steadily through the ranks to In-Room Dining Manager, as well later overlooking the outlet Dark Kitchen. His efforts paid off as he and his team were awarded 5 stars for the In-Room Dining experience by Forbes Magazine Middle East. Within the same year, Clinton achieved a 40% increase in year-over-year sales and a 7% increase in average check revenue.

In 2019, Clinton became the Dining Manager implementing a new brunch, further campaigns to increase revenue and improved the reservation system leading to an increased footfall, increased guest satisfaction and restaurant covers. In 2020, he has been promoted to Restaurant Manager and Dark Kitchen Manager, where he participated in a new online takeaway project, developed effective marketing plans, implemented new menus and led health, safety and sanitation procedures with the onset on Covid-19 and the pandemic restrictions.

Now joining the St. Regis family, Clinton is a forward-thinking Restaurant Manager with extensive experience and expertise, and has been brought on board to oversee the entire hotel’s service philosophy and overlook the operation of Basta, Bleu Blanc, The St. Regis Bar, The Library and In-Room Dining. In his free time, Clinton enjoys playing sports such as badminton, football and cricket and he loves exploring new restaurants in Dubai, especially Asian cuisine.?
