Clinician Spotlight: Jacki Files LPC, NCC, and EMDR trained

Hello, I'm Jacki Files, a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in trauma therapy here in Colorado Springs. My journey in counseling began after years of teaching art in various countries like Canada, South Korea, China, and Thailand. Through these experiences, I've cultivated a deep understanding of multicultural perspectives, enriching my approach to therapy.

My passion lies in helping individuals heal from past trauma, particularly those who have endured abusive childhoods or relationships. With specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I will meet you where you are and help you find healing and wholeness.

In my practice, I employ a diverse range of therapeutic modalities, including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Art Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Each session is tailored to meet the unique needs of my clients, guiding them towards holistic healing.

My goal is to create a safe and inclusive space where everyone feels heard and supported on their journey.

Outside of counseling, you can find me indulging in my love for swimming, hiking, cycling, and enjoying quality time with friends and family over coffee or meals. I also have a passion for travel, always eager to explore new destinations and immerse myself in different cultures.
