Clinical demonstration of Haurin

Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRSV), as an infectious disease, has caused serious losses to animal husbandry. PRRS has strong infectivity, high incidence and great harm. The variability and diversity of its virus strains are strong, and its unique antibody dependence is enhanced, which makes it more difficult to prevent and control the disease.

To solve the PRRS problem, Vegamax introductes a product Haurin---60% α- glyceryl monolaurate. Once the product was launched, it received a lot of feedback in the market. We will share a recent clinical demonstration for reference.

Time: May 25, 2018-June 15, 2018

Location: A pig farm in Daqing, Heilongjiang

Pig farm situation: There are 200 basic sows and more than 200 weaning pigs in the pig farm. The basic sows in this farm have been immunized with pseudorabies vaccine from a domestic manufacturer, but have not been immunized with porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome vaccine. At the end of May, 2018, weaning pigs developed cough, asthma and abdominal breathing, and their body temperature was 40.5 degrees. Sows had no obvious symptoms. Clinical diagnosis suspected respiratory diseases caused by climate variability. Therefore, the whole group treatment was carried out, and 2kg of 20% florfenicol premix and 2kg of 20% tilmicosin premix were added per ton of feed, and individuals who do not eat are injected with imported injections. After two days of treatment, the effect was not obvious, and it was suspected to be a viral disease. Eight pigs were randomly selected from sick pigs and basic sows, respectively, for blood sampling and inspection.

The blood test report showed that the S/P value of serum blue ear virus was high, which was suspected to be PRRSV. The treatment plan was changed to add 3 kg of haurin+2 kg of tilseo (20% tilmicosin enteric preparation) per ton for 12 days, and the clinical symptoms disappeared and the pigs recovered. Then, 8 pigs were randomly selected from the sick pigs and the basic sows for blood sampling and inspection. The results are shown in Table 2.

According to Vegamax's PRRSV treatment plan, after feeding Haurin+ tilmicosin for only 12 days, the serum PRRSV antibody level of pigs decreased from over 4 to about 1.4, and all the symptoms of pigs disappeared. Therefore, Haurin has a good effect in controlling the replication and transmission of PRRSV.
