Clinical Or Analytical Hypnotherapy?

Clinical Or Analytical Hypnotherapy?

If you are thinking about becoming a therapist, hypnotherapy might be a consideration for you, however, the hypnosis industry is a confusing place. That's because there are two different types of hypnotherapists: clinical and analytical. And, to make matters more complicated, each kind of therapist thinks their services are the best. Let's explore this tension and find out which type of hypnotherapy is right for you!

Clinical hypnosis is a form of psychotherapy that is used to treat specific conditions, such as addictions or phobias. It tends to focus on the conscious mind and belief structures with some understanding of emotions. It mainly focuses on directly treating symptoms. NLP, CBT and such therapies are examples of clinical hypnotherapy.

It tends to focus on the conscious mind (what we are aware of already), and belief structures with some understanding of emotions. It mainly focuses on directly treating symptoms rather than focusing on root causes; this can be effective for some problems but may not work at all for others (or even make things worse).

Analytical hypnosis works with the subconscious mind (what we are not aware of), emotions and energy that is trapped or stuck in the body. Analytical hypnotherapy not only works with unconscious belief patterns it specifically searches for root cause of a symptom, not just treating the immediate problem.

In analytical hypnosis, the practitioner works with the subconscious mind, emotions and energy that is trapped or stuck in the body.

For example: a client might come to see you because they have an issue with their knee. You could use analytical hypnotherapy to explore what happened when they first injured their knee? When did it happen? Who was involved? How did it make them feel at the time?

Analytical hypnosis works with the subconscious mind, emotions and energy that is trapped or stuck in the body. Analytical hypnotherapy not only works with unconscious belief patterns it specifically searches for the root cause of a symptom, not just treating the immediate problem.

It does not just treat symptoms but goes back to the root cause of a problem by using analytical techniques like regression therapy and somatic therapy to find out what happened in your life that may be causing an issue now.

In our Diploma The Ultimate Hypno Coach not only do we work with root causes we teach something very simple, powerful and completely unique.

There are 3 parts to an experience/trauma and we align 3 things with conscious awareness through hypnosis...

When finding a root cause there are:

1. The visual/memory/understanding/belief - what happened

2. The emotion/s attached to number 1 - sadness, anger, shame etc

3. The physiological element - shaking, crying, rush of energy, feeling hot or cold etc

When we get to the root and acknowledge the above 3 parts our minds and bodies naturally and easily move through a process that heals mind and body and allows the conscious mind to eliminate neural pathways and create new ones which causes permanent and natural change.

What Are The Major Differences Between Clinical and Analytical Hypnotherapy? Neither is right or wrong, good or bad. It’s just personal preference. Some people want to quit smoking and are not interested in the root cause. They just wanna quit. Then Clinical Hypnotherapy is great! Some people want to quit smoking and feel that a deeper more permanent approach is what is needed - then analytical hypnotherapy is going to be a better fit.

So if you were to become a therapist... the question is: What kind of therapist do you want to become? Do you want to do short sessions with clients - say only 3 to 6 sessions. Just help people get over their immediate problems? Then clinical hypnotherapy may suit you.?

Or would you like to work with people for longer periods, around 6 months, on a deeper level and have a more profound and lasting impact? If analytical hypnotherapy speaks to your heart then find out more here:?
