We decided to introduce Classico scrubs because of the JCI (Joint Commission International) certification. Our hospital has obtained JCI certification, which recognizes us as a facility that ensures international healthcare quality and patient safety standards. Previously, we wore surgical gowns made of the same cotton material as older surgical covers. Still, during the update for our JCI certification, one of the points raised was about the material of our scrubs. We needed to change to a fabric that would not shed fibers into the surgical field, such as synthetic materials. Luckily, we established a connection with Classico at the right time, leading to the introduction of their scrubs.

At our hospital, there is a rule that we can't wear scrubs in outpatient clinics except for procedural outpatient care. Previously, everyone wore their scrubs with white coats for outpatient procedures. But now, they are wearing these instead, which has been well-received by patients. When I first showed the Classico scrubs to the hospital director, he praised their cleanliness and stylishness, which led to their introduction being approved.

Including part-time staff, our anesthesiology department has nearly 100 members. Although we work in different units, such as the pain clinic and ICU, we have a uniform, which has helped establish the recognition within the hospital that "those scrubs belong to the anesthesiology department." Patients can easily identify us as anesthesiology doctors.

I like the design, it looks stylish whether you wear it fitted or loosely. It's great to have the option to wear it in a way that suits your preference. The colors are slightly darker; surprisingly, I wasn't a fan of such colors initially. However, I was amazed that wearing a darker color brightened my face. It suits everyone, from doctors in their 25 to those over 60.

The embroidery on the back is also a critical point. In addition to the Juntendo logo, we included the text "Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine," representing our department. All department members, including the pain clinic doctors, wanted this text included. I outlined the overall design and requested several color options, ultimately deciding on this style. Additionally, we added embroidery to the pants.

While the feedback from the JCI certification was the impetus for introducing these scrubs, our primary goal was for everyone to enjoy wearing their new uniforms. I wanted something that they wouldn't feel forced to wear but rather something that they would be proud to wear, something they would want to wear. I believe that by choosing Classico scrubs, we have achieved that goal.
