Other VR companies had tried before but they failed. This was our big challenge Luckily, our production company had experience from a previous film on Mount Everest so we knew what the climb would look like and what the conditions would be.

"With this production, we want to let the viewer taste how it is to be a member of an Everest expedition. To share in climbers’ stories and tips along the way to the highest peak,” explains Director of Sound Zbigniew Wolny.

In Climb Everest VR, Noel and Lynne Hanna lead you up the far less traveled north side of Mount Everest. Your eyes are free to wander and absorb the unparalleled 360-degree panoramic views surrounding you. Along with the other members of the expedition, you depart from Kathmandu and meander through Tibetan villages lost in time. You savor a milk tea in the Base Camp, ramble between elusive icy shark fins, visit high altitude camps, and linger in the magnificent panoramas – all while sitting in your lazy chair at home.

Unlike most other media, VR video immerses you in the journey up Mount Everest without any external distractions. As the ambisonic sounds of the mountain winds roar in your ears and the views from the summit flood your vision, you will forget that you have not left your living room. Climb Everest VR makes you a member of the expedition.

The series due to be released in the beginning of 2017.
