I was asked to compile a list of articles and papers that focus on climate topics. The list that follows also includes some pandemic articles written for the Society of Actuaries Catastrophe & Climate Strategic Research Program. That group produces a newsletter and I have written a number of book reviews and co-author a regular piece on confusion over terminology.
?I have written four papers in the Environmental Paper Series and encourage readers to access the others as well.
Papers in the series that I wrote include (I suggest reading them in this order)
·????????Climate System: A Primer for Actuaries
·????????Integrated Assessment Models
·????????Impact of Climate Change on Investors
·????????Municipalities and Climate Change
I was also involved as the project oversight group chair for a paper dealing with extreme heat and the role on emergency room visits. An academic paper is schedule to be published soon.
Determining the role of Anthropogenic climate change on human health outcomes: a case study on heat related illness attribution
