Climate Podcasts Worth Your Time
I am sharing my favorite climate podcasts with my network in honor of Earth Week. Warning; these may change your life. Catalyst by Shayle Kann (from Canary Media) has been my obsession for about a year. If your idea of fun is to get lost in the weeds of technology, economics, and policy, this one is for you. Guests are technical experts with many years of experience in the sector, and Kann is a thoughtful host who lets them do their thing. Try listening to "This Episode is Trash" from January.
A related podcast is The Carbon Copy, hosted by Stephen Lacy. This one is a little more approachable, and the format varies. Sometimes Lacy analyzes an entire industry, and sometimes, he takes a deep dive into a topic. A recent favorite episode is "What's driving the opposition to renewables?"
Finally, from our friends across the pond, BBC's The Climate Question. Presenters Graihagh Jackson and Neall Razzell keep the conversations friendly and upbeat. This is my Saturday morning go-to podcast. The most recent episode, "How did we discover climate change?" is worth your time.
(One last honorable mention, How We Survive from Marketplace on NPR).
