Climate emergency, new agreements and renewable energy
Hello everyone! We are back with more news about energy, climate change and renewables ??
A few days ago, Ignacio Galán, the exectutive chairman of Iberdrola, was interviewed by BBC program "Talking Business", where he disussed the climate emergency.
In the interview, the big question was asked: Are we doing enough to fight Climate change? Our chairman was clear and said that more needs to be done to achieve zero emissions. And he emphassied that:
"Time is running out, we must act now"
During the interview, the topic of renewable energy storage was discussed, and Galan mentioned that Iberdrola is working on this by investing in the company's hydroelectric plan. This involves: replacing the current hydroelectric centrals with reversible ones and working on batteries worldwide.

Green hydrogen for descarbonisation
Last week we celebrated #WorldHydrogenDay, with the promotion of its clean version: Green Hydrogen.
We lead the development of this technology worldwide with more than 60 projects, in 8 countries. Combining innovation and sustainability ???? this type of hydrogen is 100% renewable, and necessary to achieve the #decarbonization of industry and transportation.
