Coachtopia as a commitment to a future of circularity and sustainability
Fashion brand Coach has introduced a new sustainability initiative called ‘Coachtopia’. As part of their sustainability commitments, they are focusing on responsibly sourced materials such as up-crafted or recycled leather scraps, reducing and repurposing waste. What’s more, they have spotlighted collaborating with suppliers and their community to build a more conscious system of operation and supply, along with launching a collection made from recycled materials and have partnered with a non-profit organisation to help reduce plastic waste in the ocean. Coach's sustainability efforts are a part of their broader strategy to become a more purpose-driven brand. We love to see that!

The US Invests $350 million in the conservation of wildlife and the protection of biodiversity?
There are hopeful plans to create ‘wildlife corridors’ in the United States, with a focus on the Western region. The project aims to connect protected areas and create safe passageways for wildlife, particularly large predators such as mountain lions.
Backed by Native American tribes and governments alike, this initiative with the largest ever single sum funding of this type demonstrates an important step towards protecting lands and preserving biodiversity. By providing safe travel routes for animals, these corridors can help maintain genetic diversity and catalyse onset measures which lead to extinction.

The UK proposes a ban on plastic wet wipes to tackle water pollution?
The UK government has proposed a ban on plastic wet wipes in an effort to address water pollution and reduce single-use plastics, and protect the environment.
A significant source of plastic pollution, wet wipes contain synthetic fibres that do not biodegrade and can cause harm to aquatic and land life. In addition, many wet wipes are incorrectly labelled as flushable, leading to clogged pipes and sewage overflows.
The ban has been welcomed by environmental groups, who have long been advocating for stronger measures to address plastic pollution. However, some industry representatives have expressed concerns about the potential impact on businesses and consumers, and have called for more environmentally conscious alternatives to be developed.
The proposed ban is still subject to consultation and is not expected to come into effect for several years. However, it represents an important step towards reducing plastic waste and protecting the environment.
