TOP THREE
Last week to mark the COP29 Summit VaccinesWork focused on the impacts climate change is having on our health. With diseases like cholera, dengue, and malaria spreading to new regions and new populations, extreme weather events causing new health risks and changing climates causing increasing population movement and vulnerability, there was plenty to cover.
Two decades ago Nepal had yet to record a single case of deadly dengue fever. Nowadays thousands of people suffer from the disease every monsoon season, with 12 deaths already recorded this year. Is climate change to blame?

Climate change and AMR are arguably the two greatest threats to our health in the coming decades. What’s worse: they are interlinked. Read our explainer to learn why we cannot tackle one without dealing with the other.
