It highlighted the significance of working together on a global scale to address these issues and promote sustainable development.?The declaration emphasized the importance of equitable growth and support for private enterprise, as well as a commitment to accelerating progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through digital transformation and innovative financing.?Climate action was a central theme, with a commitment to strengthening efforts and achieving net-zero emissions by mid-century.

Hence, this September edition brings to you green jobs, Climate Asia's highlights on the Civil Society Academy Programme to empower grassroots NGOs, and Conversations of Change with people working relentlessly towards climate action and movement.?

Empowering Grassroots NGOs: Climate Asia's Pioneering Program Launched in Ranchi, Jharkhand

The Climate Asia's Civil Society Academy Programme organized a three-day Organizational Development workshop in August for grassroots NGOs to foster?a space to strategize and enhance organizational capacities.

• The focus on the first day was on creating effective organizational cultures and understanding human resources efficiently. Rahul Balakrishnan , Co-founder of Arthan , shared some valuable insights around innovative recruitment strategies for NGOs, while environmentalist and Padma Shree Awardee, Jamuna Tudu, gave an inspiring talk about her journey towards forest conservation and the power of collective action in aligning with nature's rhythms.
• The second day explored Technological Advancements and Collaboration, including a Life Map session led by Raisha Galib and discussions led by Shemeer Babu , Co-Founder of aikyam fellows , on addressing the tech talent gap in NGOs and the potential of Artificial Intelligence.
• The three-day workshop came to a close with Koushik Yanamandram , AVP at Climate Asia?discussing climate concepts and emphasizing the importance of climate vulnerability assessment. The workshop concluded with NGOs highlighting their challenges and creating adaptation plans, underscoring the significance of collaboration and sustainability in their endeavors.

The primary aim of the program was to empower nonprofits working at the grassroots level by enhancing their skills and fostering collaboration among participants.

Conversations of Change Series

1. Conversations of Change Series with Subrahmanyam Pulipaka

In this session, we explore various themes around the work done at the National Solar Energy Federation of India, the importance of grid integration for countries aiming to adopt solar energy, skills required to be a part of the solar energy sector, solar PV modules and much more around the RE Landscape.

2. Conversations of Change Series with Jamuna Tud

We are delighted to introduce?our first Hindi Podcast!

In this video, we hear from Jamuna Ji about her personal journey towards forest conservation and how her dedication grew after getting married, resulting in a greater impact. She now leads a powerful group of 10,000 women who have been to over 500 villages, raising awareness for forest protection. Jamuna Ji also discusses the impact of human activities on climate change and stresses the need to preserve our natural resources while harmonizing our actions with nature's rhythms. She emphasizes the role of individuals in protecting the forests but also highlights the importance of collective teamwork to bring about real change.
