Net-Zero 2060 climate Initiative is a Climate Idea of Tajay Antonio Francis, from Jamaica. This initiative is to provide Major Industries and Companies with a solution that can save both the Earth from the devastating repercussions of not paying attention to warnings from scientists that climate change is expected to cause serious damage to the world if we do not take action starting right now. Emissions come from a wide range of industries all over the world therefore we will need many solutions to this global issue. Hence the reason for providing a solution that will benefit both businesses operating to make a profit as well as the entire human race and all living species that still exist today. According to Hannah Ritchie in an online article published on September 18, 2020, entitled “ Sector by sector where do greenhouse gas emissions come from”. The writer alluded that “ to prevent climate change we need to rapidly reduce global greenhouse gas emissions since the world emits 50 billion tones of greenhouse gasses each year”. If that doesn’t scare you then I don’t know what will.  According to Ritchie, the Energy producing industries such as electricity, heat, and transport produces 73.2% of emissions, direct industrial processes such as cement and chemicals and petrochemicals produces 5.2% of emissions, waste produces 3.2% of emissions, and Agriculture, forestry, and land use produce 18.4% of emissions. Acknowledging this data I can now go ahead to clearly outline my climate plan that I would like the United Nations as well as the United Nations Environmental Assembly, all the companies in the Energy industry as well as the United Nations Environmental Programme to adopt. I would like to see this climate plan debated and made as international law by consensus at the UNEA.

The Climate plan:

The recommendations are as follows;

Acknowledging that the Energy industry is the largest producing greenhouse gas emission producer, regulate international laws that will hold companies accountable for producing greenhouse gas emission more than the agreed amount of greenhouse gas that can be produced;

Instructs the energy-producing industries to provide internships to young people to work within their organization to use the youth as a means of coming up with new innovative ideas of how to create new technologies that will either reduce greenhouse gas emissions or produce 0% of greenhouse gas;

Call to action the transport industries to implement international competitions by partnerships with other transport industries around the world  where the youth can create new models of transport technologies that produce 0% of greenhouse emissions;

Expresses my concern that all the countries in the world only have 10 years to meet the 2030 SDG goals and our world leaders are not moving at the fast speed that of which it will require to meet this global goal, I recommend that the United Nations work directly with the companies in the energy-producing industries around the world by involving the youth in this initiative;

Insist that Companies in this day and age must operate with two main aim, that being the Climate and its environment and 0% greenhouse gas emissions being their number one priority and to make a profit after;

Believes that climate change activists all around the world need to start focusing on the  major companies in the energy-producing industry to plan and implement campaigns so that CEO’s can begin to advocate for climate change as a means of saving capitalism because we the climate change activist will not stop until we get what we want even if it means to put an end to capitalism;

Call to action all the citizens of the world to only support businesses that operate to reduce greenhouse gas emissions;

Recommends that the UNEA, UNEP, and the United Nations encourage and Fund Global Initiatives that will encourage  a spirit of innovation and encourage young people to participate in activities that allow for the youth all around the world to provide ideas of new technologies that produce 0% of greenhouse gas;

Encourage major greenhouse gas emission producing industries around the world to adapt to change and become flexible by making plans of how to ensure that they are reducing the greenhouse gas that they produce or invent new technologies that produce 0% greenhouse gas emissions and remain bullish in annual revenue generation.

Recommends that the United Nations establish a new Global Goal, that is to set a global goal for 2060 to create and redistribute new 0% greenhouse gas emission transport technologies. Such as Cars, Air Planes, Trans and any transportation that produce gas and replace it with renewable energy or batteries;
