The Client Who Scored a Perfect 10

Sometimes I float above myself and look at the business I run. And I wonder.

How have I managed to show people the value of working on communication skills and messaging?

When your product doesn't weigh an ounce.

Helping people to see the value of this skill can be a tall order. I don't give you a "thing" at the end - a 1-pager, a leather bound slide deck, a book. My product doesn't weigh an ounce.

That doesn't mean it's not valuable, of course. We all buy things from others that don't weigh anything at all.

But it has to matter to them. I've learned that I don't want to work with people who don't see that value. I've worked with Doubting Thomas and Skeptical Sally. They are not the right fit.

  • But when the person is hungry? When it IS the right fit?
  • When they SEE what this will DO, and they're ready?
  • Oh man! Look OUT PEOPLE! You're gonna SEE it in them.

Once Upon a Video Message...

Nicole's story is below. It is rare to hear such specific feedback.

This client is head of HR at a Global F500 company.

  • She is like a rocket ship going up with all her new skills.
  • She was just invited to the Invite -only Board Dinner with the Global Board of Directors. Like getting the golden ticket from Willy Wonka. That's in part because of the improvements she's making with us.

She shared:

-------

"Cindy, an exec came up to me after the webinar. What she said was interesting.??

She said, ‘I must acknowledge, I don't know what you've been doing, but something's different. And in a good way. There's such a difference between how you presented the information today – and when you presented it last year.

It felt as if you really knew the content. You took time in terms of the style of communication - in intonation. There was this wonderful fluctuation in your voice.’?

Cindy, she wanted to know if I had rehearsed, and noticed I put emphasis in certain subject areas and not others.... emphasis in the sentences, in certain words and not in others.?

She said the way I maintained eye contact with the audience (because we are virtual) really helped the audience feel like we were together. She said the pace was a welcome difference. It was a much slower and deliberate pace and allowed the audience to really absorb the information.?

Then she asked me if there was a tool or system to achieve this. I shared that it's 2 parts -? that I am working with you (I gave her your information). And then I shared about the AI coach, Yoodli, which is super awesome.”

Nicole is in our 6-mo Message Mentorship Intensive (MMI). She is also my most frequent user of the rehearsal platform we use; Yoodli.ai.

Is there something holding you back from breaking through the next level of your New You?

What is that barrier? There is so much for you when you grab the bull by the horns and commit.

DM me today and set up a 20-call with me - just to swap stories. Nothing more. Because what if we're a good fit? What if you're ready? What if you are the next one to share with me a win like this one?

Schedule time here today. It's time.

So true Cindy - What's the old saying? "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear." And when that happens, both teacher and student grow.
